After breaking my self-pact of one blog entry per week and doing as such two weeks ago tomorrow, I’ve settled in nicely to not blogging multiple times a week since the last day of this most recent July, and that’s really freed me up to gain quite a bit of momentum in clearing the assessment/re-assessment roster. However, I’ve barely made a dent in it, especially since expansion to 5,000 Flickuum movies has created 1,018 open “pre-Dream Scenario” spots. Or should I say 1,001, as 17 of the 27 movies that are/were written down on my list of undocumented roster movies have since been added to the roster.
Let’s begin.
Alright, so this Flickasbord entry will unveil the 17 movies across four different categories, as I feel that method is the best way that I can explain how all of them made the roster. And as to what those four different categories are, well they are “Movies Noticed Via eBay”, “Movies Noticed Via Surfing iTunes”, “Movies Noticed Via Surfing Spectrum” and “Movies Noticed Via Previous IMDB Research”. And since I’ll be mentioning those 17 movies across those four different categories, I’ll be utilizing the typical chart format.
Now let’s delve right in:
Category | Movie(s) |
Movies Noticed Via eBay | 1. Greyfriars Bobby, 2. Belong To Us, 3. Assassination Nation, 4. Nightshade, 5. Hope’s Legacy, 6. War Eagle, Arkansas, 7. American Violence, 8. Rendition, 9. Long Way North |
Movies Noticed Via Surfing iTunes | 1. Don’t Think Twice, 2. Wristcutters: A Love Story, 3. The Apparition |
Movies Noticed Via Surfing Spectrum | 1. Earth To Echo, 2. City Of Ember |
Movies Noticed Via Previous IMDB Research | 1. Harvie And The Magic Museum, 2. BuyBust, 3. Battlecreek |
Well, I honestly don’t remember the last time that I’ve blogged about a group of movies up for assessment in the category format, as I usually blog a reason why they have been chosen for assessment. But given that the past few days were very busy leading up to both the creation and completion of this entry, I’ve decided to go this route. However, I will say that 1] Greyfriars Bobby can potentially be an additional option to tandem with either “Abstraction” or “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare”, 2] Long Way North can be perfect as a movie leading up to a viewing of either the 1991 version of “Beauty And The Beast” or “Empire”, 3] Earth To Echo got back into my thoughts after I decided to assess “My Life As A Zucchini”, and 4] Battlecreek via its post/cover art has the vibe of working well in tandem with either a Blumhouse movie or “The Blackening”. So yeah, I see four potential Project movies in that group and it could be more, as any of those other 13 can exceed expectations like “Night Swim” did a little over a year ago. It shall be interesting to see how it plays out with this particular group of movies.
Until the next time.
