Two days after deeming that “I Care A Lot” was a movie that grew on me, I did a big apples-to-apples comparison of that Eiza Gonzalez movie to her current total of nine Flickuum movies, and came away feeling that that movie was going to be too weird of a fit along with those other nine moves. So, with that being said, the Rosamund Pike-led movie will instead join the lengthy amount of movies that are on the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention.
It’s an unlucky seven on the Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page, as movies about vampires possibly killing animals and a spider possibly killing other animals are both just way too traumatic for me. So, with that being said, the movies “The Last Voyage Of The Demeter” and “Sting” become those two movies for those respective reasons, thus them joining “Redemption Day” in the category of 2020s movies that I refuse to see.
Due to a Reel Shift video about “Deadpool & Wolverine” that I saw not too long ago, I decided to pardon “Logan” from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page, as that video alludes to possible continuity contradictions for those two movies. And of course, with that being said, I will re-assess the latter of the two movies around the time that I assess the aforementioned “Deadpool & Wolverine” to see how existent those contradictions are. Tune in during late-July/early-August for that verdict.
In more re-assessment news, the 2023 movie “Talk To Me” will be getting that nod, as there be a sequel for that movie and that movie could be the type that gets saved by a sequel. Of course, it is unknown when the sequel will come out, but I will be re-assessing The Philippou Brothers’ directorial debut sometime this summer.
And finally, the first reserved spot for the 2,201 through 2,215 selection protocol has been reserved, as “Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes” does not have a pre-order listing yet, thus a pre-2020 movie will get its spot in the 2,101 through 2,200 selection protocol. And as to why a pre-2020 movie get that spot, well I want to have the full 100 movies for the aforementioned 2,102 through 2,200 selection protocol sooner rather than later. Plus, I’m not going to delay the resumption of The Flickuum Project to cater to a guessing game of when “Joker: Folie A Deux” will get a pre-order listing, as that movie will be released theatrically in October, so Joaquin Phoenix’s second go-round as The Joker will have to be subjected to the aforementioned 2,201 through 2,215 selection protocol.
Well, I’ve put a bit of dent into Tier 8 yet still way behind schedule to give myself proper rest. But given that I want my current assessments/re-assessments all cleared before Monday night, I’m going to haul ass in record time between now and then.
Until the next time.
