Last night into the early part of the wee hours of this morning, I revisited the movie “Chasing Papi” to see if I indeed got it right as a movie that warranted a spot on the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page or not, and did so as the first movie that I’ve seen post-review. And of course, with all of that being said, this entry explores whether the revisiting made a difference or not. Let’s continue.
Alright, so I decided to rewatch this movie simply because it was Nadine Velazquez’s second ever movie, following “Biker Boyz”, and I wanted to see her in that conga lounge scene, even though I can watch it on YouTube whenever I want. Or should I say that I could have watched it whenever I wanted to, as the dubbing of her voice after Sofia Vergara’s character chases her off ruined it for me, thus I will never watch that YouTube video ever again. I mean why dub her voice, especially since her actual voice is totally more sexy to hear than that dubbed voice. Plus, her gorgeous presence was utilized in just that one scene, thus the movie goes completely downhill after that.
In summary, my verdict of “Chasing Papi” from April 2021 will not be overturned, thus it will forever stand as called. And that’s just as well because I honestly did not want to restructure what I have already amassed from a written movie review standpoint.
Alright, now that I have gotten the pointless viewing of “Chasing Papi” out of my system, it’s time to finally work on the first review of my Disney-themed review set.
Stay tuned.
