On November 23, 2023, I reached uncharted territory, as I hit 1,000 completed Flickuum evaluations via “We Are Your Friends”. And I must admit, it felt strange to finally hit that number, as well as feeling strange that I added to it 13 times during the remainder of 2023. But with consistency from the wee hours of Memorial Day 2024 to the wee hours of this morning came normalcy, although the completion of “Carmen” is bittersweet, in the sense of no more Melissa Barrera movies to evaluate in the foreseeable future. Plus, it’s also both satisfying and emotionally draining to reach another completed increment of 100.
But of course, The Flickuum Project and all other good things must eventually come to an end, thus this entry being about the halfway point to the eventual end of The Project. So, with that being said, here is the preview to the path to 1,200 a.k.a. the real halfway point of The Project, which begs the question “What movies will be evaluated in this upcoming increment?”
Well, since I want to start this hallway point in style, I decided that 1,101 will be “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs” since that could be a soothing counterbalance to “Carmen”. And of course, that’s not the only movie that I have chosen for this next increment because in addition, I have allocated specific movies to certain evaluation numbers. They are the following:
- In The Line Of Fire has been chosen for tomorrow night as a good counterbalance to Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs
- November 3, 2016 was the day that the Chicago Cubs officially ended their 108-year championship drought, thus I chose something epic for 1,103, in the form of How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
- November 20 is Nadine Velazquez’s birthday, thus Biker Boyz will be evaluation 1,120
- Tiffani-Amber Thiessen never got a chance for a movie of hers to be evaluation 123, as her birthday is January 23, thus Cyborg Soldier will be evaluation 1,123
- Back in early-January, I did think of making How To Be Single evaluation 1,150. But since 1,200 is the new halfway point, a different Dakota Johnson will be 1,150, with that movie being The Peanut Butter Falcon
- For years, I have always envisioned evaluating The Street King before How To Be Single, thus the Jon Seda-Mario Lopez collaboration will be 1,199
- And now that 1,200 is the officially the halfway point of The Project, the evaluation for that number will indeed be How To Be Single because it’s the glue that will hold the entire Flickuum group together
Yes, those eight movies are eight of the next 100 that will be evaluated from tonight through possibly September. And while getting through them, along with those other 92, will be as bittersweet as wrapping up this last completed increment of 100, I can look back at Carmen and these other 2,399 Flickuumm movies one day and feel proud of all the work that went into putting this all together. But for now, it’s time to get out of the Melissa Barrera-caused fog and make it rain with Meatballs, starting tonight.
