Other than a yet to be completed assessment of “Journey To The Center Of The Earth”, movies assessed/re-assessed since this past Saturday afternoon have left a lot to be desired. Let’s begin.
First up, staying in that a lot to be desired category, the ten movies assessed/re-assessed since “Mars Needs Moms” passed its re-assessment have been both a good thing and bad thing in rounding out the 2,101 through 2,301, as they have made it a little less daunting for the other movies up for assessment/re-assessment, while also failing to expedite that protocol. And given that the remaining hour of “Journey To The Center Of The Earth” isn’t a guaranteed outcome, the run of futility could extend to 11. Stay tuned.
Two out of three have been bad for Hayao Miyazaki, as both “Spirited Away” and “Porco Rosso” have proved that they aren’t Flickuum material. Plus, I thought that I would be content with just “Ponyo” in The Project. But after reading the names of the cast on the cover art for the movie “The Boy And The Heron”, I have decided to add that to the roster.
I’m not the type who will watch a movie because a girl entices me to. But if there was such a scenario for me, then that movie would be “Billy Elliot” because that’s a movie that I anticipate some girl (that I would like) making me to see to earn brownie points from her. So, with that in mind, the Jamie Bell-led movie will also be added to the roster.
2021 marked the first year of movie theaters opening back up, as the first such movie that I saw was “Raya And The Last Dragon”. And of course, that one is a strong contender for my Top 10 movies from that year, which got me wondering about IMDB’s top movies from that year. So, with that being said, I did a Google search for that list and noticed a Top 50, which included the aforementioned “Raya And The Last Dragon”, as well as my eventual favorite 2021 movie “In The Heights”. Yes, those two movies will be in The Project, but one that won’t be in it is “Zach Snyder’s Justice League”, as A) I didn’t like the original 2017 cut and B) I do not want to see an extended version of something that I didn’t like two separate times, especially with it being over four hours long. So, given both those points, the latter of the three movies will be going to the Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page.
And finally, I had a take it or leave it attitude about the Nina Dobrev movie “Sick Girl”, because that movie just looks way too similar to the failure, known as “Not Okay”. But after finding out a very revealing picture of her in a scene of that movie, I have decided to take a flier on it right before I assess her other movie, which is “Reunion”.
Well, between now and sometime tomorrow afternoon, the goal is to get five more movies into the selection protocol, as “Mars Needs Moms” has been expedited back into The Project. But should more futility persist between now and then, well then the tedious waiting process for the likes of “Arthur The King” and “Back To Black” graduating to Tier 5 will continue.
Until the next time.
