Flickasbord, Volume 71

**Note: The following content has wording that Steve Kaycee was totally reluctant to publish. Discretion is advised

The 2,101 through 2,200 selection protocol is almost complete, as only two more movies are needed to round it out. Let’s begin.

First up, according to the website “DVDReleaseDates.com”, the movie “War For The Planet Of The Apes” has been rumored to get an August 2024 hard copy release, thus the reason why that two instead of three movies are needed to round out that selection protocol. However, that aforementioned selection protocol could change to 2,101 through 2,231, due to A) 16 extra movies being needed for the Eastern Bluebird 53 page and B) 15 extra movies being needed for the Spider 25 page, thus the rounding out of this aforementioned selection protocol could go into late-July. Stay tuned.

Trying to find at least Victoria Justice movie in which she’s well over 18 years of age has been a challenge, as movies like “Trust” and “A Perfect Pairing” failed in filling that void. However, I still want to fill that void, thus I have added “Summer Night” to the roster of pending assessments/re-assessments. Fingers crossed.

I’m not one to let a trailer or title deter me from seeing a certain movie, as I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing “No Hard Feelings”, only for that movie to become my favorite one featuring Jennifer Lawrence. However, the same cannot be said for “The American Society Of Magical Negroes”, as A) The trailer didn’t appeal to me at all and B) The title alone is something that I just can’t fathom having on The Flickuum page, thus I have added it to the Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page.

Staying on the topic of controversial (to say the least) movies, I was tempted to also add “Song Of The South” to the Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page, due to the controversy surrounding that movie. But after noticing that movie popping up in my Etsy notifications feed, along with it having memorable animated characters integrated with human characters, I have decided to take a flier on it to see what all the fuss is about. Stay tuned.

Speaking of Etsy, I noticed in the shop of one of my go-to-sellers that he has “Ernest Saves Christmas” available, which I attempted to assess all the way back in September 2011, only for it to be phased out by much stronger movies in “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” and “The Help”. But after realizing the possibility of the former of the three movies outranking “Ernest Scared Stupid”, I have decided to give the 1988 movie another chance. Now it’s just a matter of which platform that I can access it from.

And finally, I saw a snippet of the Melissa Barrera-led movie “Your Monster” getting a United States wide theatrical release sometime in October, as that seems to be Caroline Lindy’s plan for that movie. And of course, with that being said, there could be some truth to that snippet, as it will get released in Russia this coming October 3. And as to why I’m reading into that, well any time that a movie gets a world-wide release, usually other countries get accessibility to see it before those of us living in the United States. Furthermore, Russia is among the countries that typically gets accessibility to see movies theatrically before the United States gets as such, which could also mean that other countries get their accessibility on the same exact day as the world’s biggest country by area. So, based on that logic, the United States won’t be too far behind in waiting for that wide theatrical release.

Well, three more days and evaluations for The Flickuum Project will resume, thus it’s time to clear some more assessments/re-assessments. It’s just a matter of how far that I can between now and midnight this coming Monday.

Stay tuned.
