Flickasbord, Volume 68

Every time that I think I’m done with pardoning movies from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page, some movie decides that it wants to infiltrate my mind whenever a movie closely associated with it gets another chance in The Project. And of course, with that being said, that situation rears its head again, as “Babylon” popped into my mind when I granted “Broken Flowers” a pardon yesterday since I assessed them back-to-back nearly 15 months ago. Plus, I feel that the Damien Chazelle-directed movie has the potential to both outrank “Amsterdam” and be neck-and-neck with “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”, thus I have decided to pardon it for a re-assessment.

One of the actresses that I constantly overlook is Sanaa Lathan because I’ve never gone into seeing of her movies with the main purpose being her. But overlooking her won’t happen anymore because she’s got that sexy sophisticated vibe that I like, thus a movie of hers will be selected for what will most likely be the 2,201 through 2,300 selection protocol. And as to what that movie will be, well it will be “Brown Sugar” because it can be a good second round opponent for “Breaking” in Conference 16. Now it’s just a matter of when it will be assessed.

And finally, all of what I have accessible to assess won’t be completed before my evaluation of “Air Force One”, thus come the questions of A) What I can get done between now and then, B) How and when I’ll complete the rest since I have 87 evaluations to do in 39 days and C) Can I get nine movies for the 2,101 through 2,200 selection protocol between now and then. Tune in over the next two-plus months for the answers to all those questions.

Until the next time.
