The first attempt at filling the “Challengers” void was unsuccessful, as I didn’t see any Flickuum quality in “Late Night With The Devil” once the “retreat” aspect involving the character of David Dastmalchian worked its way into the plot. And of course, the movie went to shit from that point forth, thus paving the way for either “The Bikeriders” or “Kinds Of Kindness” at being the next movie attempting to fill that void, especially since “Young Woman And The Sea” is something that I won’t access until it becomes available streaming. Stay tuned.
In keeping up with the current state of both NFL rosters and MLB rosters, in terms of the quantity of players that either roster can have at one time, whether it’s A) Having an extra player on the active roster, B) Expanding the active roster for a short period of time during the regular season and/or C) Having a group of players set aside for a promotion to the active roster at any moment’s notice, I have revised the selection protocols for spots 2,201 through 2,300. And as to what those revisions are, well A) The 2,201 through 2,215 selection protocol will now become 2,201 through 2,216 and it will be tantamount to an NFL roster having a maximum of 16 players on its practice squad, which will be the case for the Eastern Bluebird 53 page, B) The spot 2,217 selection protocol will be tantamount to an MLB roster having a 26th player on its active roster at all times and C) The 2,218 through 2,231 selection protocol will be tantamount to an active MLB roster expanding from 26 players to 40 players for a short period of time during the regular season. So, given these revisions, a scenario, such as finding a new/upcoming movie to fill the “Challengers” might not even be necessary. Stay tuned.
When it comes to movies with scenes that have roasted pigs, I have very mixed opinions about that, as “Babe” is the current number one Flickuum movie. And of course, with that being said, that particular aspect was my last hurdle of the movie “Next Goal Wins”, as it’s become a movie that has increasingly grown on me. And given that that movie has grown on me, I can just train my eyes away from the roasted pig aspect of that scene. Plus, the Taika Waititi-directed movie has the potential to work well in tandem with “Wish” and/or work well in a line-up that has a Nadine Velazquez movie. So yes, the 2023 soccer movie will be a part of The Project.
There was a time that Dabney Coleman, who we lost three days ago at the age of 92, had a shot at being a part of Flickuum lore via the movie “Amos & Andrew”. However, that movie kept rearing its stupidity to the point that not even Luke Wilson’s character from “Idiocracy” would have been able to save it. And of course, the late actor deserves better than that, so I’m going to add his movie “Where The Heart Is” to Tier 8, but as a post-Memorial Day assessment/re-assessment.
And finally, I keep reneging on no more pardons from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page, but there’s just something so darn cute about the 2009 movie “G-Force”, thus it will real deal be the last ever pardon via being sent to Tier 8 for a second re-assessment. Furthermore, it could be a perfect movie to evaluate after a viewing of the Saved By The Bell episode “Save That Tiger”, along with the fact that a movie is already pre-determined to take the place of the aforementioned 2009 movie on that page, with it being the freshly assessed “Late Night With The Devil”.
Well, I’ve made some headway in knocking out assessments/re-assessments, but not the kind that builds on the 2,101 through 2,200 selection protocol. Still, I’m confident that the other accessible pending assessments/re-assessments will help snap the current streak of futility, which is six.
Until the next time.
