Given that I’m feeling increasingly confident with hitting my Flickuum deadlines during this still unfinished 14th increment of 100 evaluations, I decided to take a second intermission during my evaluation of “The World’s Fastest Indian” to write this 197th Flickasbord entry, especially since I keep managing to amass additions/re-additions to the assessment/re-assessment roster. Yeah, this was bound to happen since I had 572 open “pre-Dream Scenario” spots, prior to this entry being written.
Let’s begin.
First up, A24 strikes yet again, as A] My evaluation of “The Man Who Knew Infinity” makes me want to re-assess another Dev Patel movie in “The Green Knight” a third time, and B] Despite how fucked up that its ending was, I want to give “Saint Maud” another chance because that movie paved the way for “Love Lies Bleeding”. Yes, I thought that I was done granting exemptions and pardons, but I see something in each of those movies for them to warrant final chances at making the league of 2,522 overall guaranteed Flickuum movies, thus me reneging one last time.
Somewhat staying on the topic of “The Green Knight”, I read that its director, David Lowery, had a hand in the movie “The Yellow Birds”, which kept popping in past research sessions yet kept slipping through the cracks. But slipping through the cracks is no longer the case for the latter movie, as the presence of Olivia Crocicchia makes me want to assess it, thus it has been added to the roster.
And finally, I noticed Travis Fimmel’s character in “Die In A Gunfight” going to a movie theater to see an old black & white movie, which he mentioned was “Love Story” to another one of the characters. And as to why I bring this up, well the clips that I noticed stood out to me, thus I went to go find a record of that movie via IMDB, which I then found out went by the additional name of “A Lady Surrenders”. So, with that being said, that old black & white movie has been added to the roster and could be one of the oldest movies in The Project, should it pass its assessment.
Well, the needle of clearing assessments/re-assessments hasn’t moved since Thursday afternoon, but it could this afternoon, should I have enough time between now and 8 P.M. Eastern Standard Time tonight to conduct the assessment of “Mental”. But luckily, the rental period for that movie doesn’t expire until November 7, and I’ll likely be finding myself in some very advantageous assessment/re-assessment blocks of time, thus I can work it into a yet to be determined stretch of designated break periods from The Project. But I can’t get complacent about that since I want to make good on getting to about 1,374 before I wake up on October 30. So yeah, I need to continue striking while the evaluation iron is still hot.
Until the next time.
