Flickasbord, Volume 157

Well, after feeling convinced that “Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse” will be released on June 4, 2027, I’ve decided to extend the March Madness style competition eligibility deadline to June 11 of that year. And of course, that’s not the only ripple that the Shemeik Moore-led threequel has caused.

Let’s begin.

First up, the movie (La Mujer De Mi Hermano) that’s most likely going to get the 3,801st overall guaranteed Flickuum spot will be reserved as the 3,804th overall guaranteed Flickuum spot, as 99ers (2022 And Older) has been renamed Buzzin’ For Eight Dozen (2022 And Older), meaning that the top 96 (not 99) movies in that tier will be alive for Flickuum contention. So, in additional words, I also wanted a page/tier name that’s both mathematically original and well-rounded instead of one that was a somewhat rip-off of a storied NFL franchise, thus three movies that came out in/before 2022 can get overall guaranteed Flickuum spots 3,801 through 3,803. And since that page/tier had 97 movies listed before this entry was written, “Killers” was phased out, due to it being ranked 97th a.k.a. DEAD LAST. But “The Day Shall Come” shouldn’t be comfortable at all, as it’s now the new DEAD LAST movie in that tier, thus it’s one loss away from being officially eliminated. Damn, it’s fun to be the overseer of The Flickuum Project.

Next up, what’s a Flickasbord entry without new additions to the assessment/re-assessment roster, as 29 other movies not named “Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse” have all suddenly emerged as movies that are at least worthy of being on that roster. And of course, those 29 movies all fall under various categories, thus they will all be mentioned via the usual chart format, which you can see below:

MovieWhy it’s one of the 26
GatloppLike “Street Fighter”, this move has a “here we go again” type ending. But unlike that movie, the ending of this movie comes with a neat little twist.
Vampire DadThis movie could form a good tandem with the one that’s listed directly above it.
Pil’s AdventuresI had this movie as one up for assessment consideration in 2022, only to complete forget about it. But after the cover art jogged my memory, it’s back in consideration.
Terra WillyIt was listed as a movie similar to “Pil’s Adventures” on IMDB.com.
AssassinationThis movie popped up during a recent content-surfing session and it looked interesting to me, thus its addition to the roster.
Plus OneIt was in my Apple Wish List section yet completely overlooked until recently.
StrongerSee one spot above.
My Donkey, My Lover & ISee two spots above.
Fight Or FlightThis movie is getting “John Wick” comparisons.
The AssessmentThis movie is a mash-up of “The Menu”, “Get Out” and “Ex Machina”.
I Saw Black CloudsThis was another movie that popped up during a recent content-surfing session and it looked interesting to me, thus its addition to the roster.
Smile 2I have this in my Paramount Plus queue yet never officially added it to the roster until now.
Top Secret! Thanks to Chad of The Bush Birds, this movie entered my mind and lived rent-free in there.
Smokey And The BanditThis was a big-name movie that remained absent from the roster, due to it getting lost in the shuffle. But thanks to it having a vibe that is similar to “Top Secret!”, it’s officially on the roster.
Smokey And The Bandit IIThis movie’s predecessor will be assessed, so might as well assessed this one also.
Smokey And The Bandit Part 3This movie’s two predecessors will both be assessed, so might as well assessed this one also.
RocketmanSelena started the music biopic bonanza nearly two decades ago, thus this one rides that wave of momentum.
Bohemian RhapsodySee one spot above. Plus, Rami Malek’s stock has risen via “The Amateur” being released theatrically in the United States two days ago.
The Space BetweenThe presence of Julie Goldani Telles makes this movie deserving of a re-assessment.
The Adderall DiariesOut of the three James Franco A24 movies that I’ve seen, this one might be the best of that lot. Plus, this movie could form a great trio with “Warcraft” and “Magic City Memoirs”.
Crocodile DundeePaul Hogan’s most iconic character needs a re-assessment via this movie.
Crocodile Dundee IIThis movie and its predecessor are a package deal.
Sleepless In SeattleOne Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan collaboration needs to be in The Project.
Joe Vs. The VolcanoSee one spot above.
You’ve Got MailSee two spots above.
SplashI’m catching “Big” vibes with this movie, and it can be in an evaluation line-up with a Nadine Velazquez movie.
…And Justice For AllI like the aesthetic of Al Pacino’s non-Godfather 1970s movies, thus “Scarecrow” and “Serpico” both being up for re-assessment. This movie could be neck-and-neck with the latter, thus it will re-assessed.
Extreme DatingI went through all the trouble on a Sunday afternoon nearly 20 years ago to assess this movie, so might as well re-live that trouble almost 20 years later.
The Country BearsThis movie is a flier movie, due to The Nostalgia Critic panning it in his review.

And finally, “Dream Scenario” will still be the final movie to get an overall guaranteed Flickuum spot before the March Madness style competition eligibility deadline comes to a close. But it will be getting the 3,904th overall guaranteed Flickuum spot, due to A] The 99ers page being renamed Buzzin’ For The Final Eight Dozen, and B] The Shameik Moore-led threequel being designated as one of the three 2023, and/or younger movies that will get awarded an overall guaranteed spot before the Nicolas Cage-led movie finally does. Yes, I’m not having the latter of the two movies wait for an indefinite period of time to be fully guaranteed, especially when its second predecessor could be fully guaranteed much sooner than I had originally planned. Stay tuned for that last part.

Well, the waits for both “The Bounce Back” and “In The Heights” being fully guaranteed Flickuum movies have been further prolonged, thanks to Miles Morales and friends. But on the flip side, I can get more time to clear this massive roster of assessments/re-assessments, especially since clearing it from now until New Year’s Eve 2026 is going to end up being a scenario of me biting off than I can chew. And given that I don’t want to turn what I love into a chore-like goal, these latest amendments to the various Flickuum timelines will all be worth it in the end.

Until the next time.
