I’m coming up on 150 Flickasbord volumes and I already got something massive planned for that volume. And as it stands right now, this is volume 147, so I got a little more ways to go before I hit that next milestone. Plus, I already have something in store for this entry, so let’s begin.
First up, I’ve altered The 99ers page before, as I awarded “Trap” with an overall guaranteed Flickuum spot before The Project expanded to 3,000 in late-November 2024. And given the very hasty judgment that I acted on from September 2024 to earlier this month, 10 of the 95 Tier 12 movies will be joining “Chupa”, “Challengers” and “The Monkey” as 2023 and younger movies that will be re-assessed. And as to what those movies are, well you can find out via the chart below:
Tier 12 Movie | Why it will be re-assessed |
Speak No Evil | Certain aspects of this movie can each be seen in a whole new light, thus bringing forth the possibility that “Night Swim” might not be the sole 2024 Blumhouse in The Project. |
Y2K | Fred Durst playing himself in this movie brings the question of what version of himself does he portray, thus an investigation will be conducted about that. |
The Unbreakable Boy | The scene in the closing credits of this movie could be chalked up as an outtake. |
The Tiger’s Apprentice | This movie might be infinitely better than “Wish Dragon”. |
Salem’s Lot | Makenzie Leigh is 5-0 in her other movies making The Project. And given that this movie is neck-and-neck with “The Monkey”, she could be 6-0. |
F Marry Kill | The level of feeling let down about this movie was the same after my assessment of the Nadine Velazquez movie “Sister”, thus I want to re-assess it. |
Miller’s Girl | This movie could be better than “Pretty Persuasion”, the latter of which could be open to interpretation in a whole new way. |
Wicked Little Letters | Period piece movies set in England or in any other UK country pre-Brexit bring a cozy vibe to The Project, and this movie could fall under that category. |
The Black Demon | It could be better than “Jaws: The Revenge” and the dog survives. |
Imaginary | I like the design of Chauncey The Bear and the performance of Alix Angelis. |
Throughout my life, I’ve had a lot of unresolved Mega Movie Package fates for many movies, whether it was for “Family Business” or “The Bourne Identity”, the latter of which will be blogged about in an upcoming entry. But this paragraph isn’t about that movie, as it’s instead about the 1999 version of “My Favorite Martian”, which I saw as a soon-to-be 15-year-old during that year. Of course, that movie has slipped through the cracks all these years later. But now that it has potential to be a good complimentary movie to something that has either Nadine Velazquez, Melissa Barrera, Eiza Gonzalez, Minka Kelly, Anna Camp, Alexandra Daddario or Taylor Schilling, it will be re-assessed, so that I can see if’s Project-worthy or not.
And finally, a movie that I kept see popping up on Netflix was “Search Party”, a movie that was giving me vibes of “The Hangover” trilogy. However, I kept forgetting about it, as many other movies emerged as potential Project movies ahead of it. But now that I have all this “pre-Dream Scenario” cap space to work with, I was able to remember it again, thus it will finally get its chance to show if it’s Project-worthy or not. Stay tuned.
Well, I was able to accrue a couple more depth pieces for The Project via the Eiza Gonzalez movie “Ash” and part one (The French Connection) of the two Popeye Doyle movies, thus all 3,900 “pre-Dream Scenario” spots are two steps closer to being confirmed. But there are still 1,511 (Captain America: Brave New World hard copy confirmed) steps to go, thus I still have a long road ahead of me.
Until the next time.
