I’ve had two movies kicking around my various queues yet never documented either of them on my assessment/re-assessment roster. But that’s soon going to change. Let’s begin.
First up, starting with one of those two kick arounds, well back in June 2023, I added “#1 Cheerleader Camp” to my Tubi queue, as I didn’t know what to add to my assessment/re-assessment roster at that time. And of course, a whole of other movies threw their hats into the ring, thus that movie got completely lost in the shuffle. But now with so much more room to add to that roster, I’ll be placing it in Tier 8 within the next week, so that it can eventually be accounted for.
In nearly seven and a half years, I’ve evaluated four of the “Predator” installments, assessed their prequel “Prey”, and both assessed and re-assessed the “Alien” prequel “Prometheus”. Of course, success is also guaranteed for the fifth of those six movies, but I like franchise connectivity [for the most part] in The Flickuum Project, thus I have decided to assess the four “Alien” movies that were released 1979 through 1997, both “Alien Vs. Predator” cross-over movies and the two “Alien” movies that were released after the aforementioned “Prometheus”. Plus, all of those yet to be assessed movies can really expedite my decision of the aforementioned “Prometheus”, as a decision must be made about that movie by New Year’s Day 2027. Stay tuned.
During The Frandemic, I had to for sub out then-new movies on my assessment/re-assessment roster, as I wanted to have a pre-2023 movie vs. 2023 movie battle for the rights to an overall guaranteed Flickuum spot. And initially, the non-Frandemic impacted movies were limited, thus I eventually took a flier on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”, despite its very messy animation style. And while I’m still not expecting much of that movie after all this time, the presence of Ice Cube and the fact that there’s upside via a sequel featuring The Shredder could make it a surprising entry into The Project.
And finally, the attempt of having an equal amount of Flickuum movies for both Camilla Belle and Alexa PenaVega continues to be unfulfilled, as “Broken Hill” killed its own momentum in a couple of spots, thus making it the fourth failed post-From Prada To Nada assessment for the latter actress. But I still want Flickuum equality for both of them, thus “Abandoned Mine” will get the next crack at it. Here’s hoping that that crack is a successful one.
Well, after experiencing the resurgence of 13 successful assessments/re-assessments, I’m in another slump again, as the last six assessments/re-assessments either have failed or are on the bubble. But given what I got coming up, I’ll get a few steps closer to the 2,901 that I want two years, three weeks and three days from now.
Stay tuned.
