I have decided to take a break from the standings style battle of Tier 13, because the movies ranked 1 through 45 in that tier each have at least one thing, which makes them all too good to languish for an indefinite amount of time. But of course, there’s also a caveat, which is that none of them can be exempted from that tier unless multiple very questionable at best pre-2022 movies all come in to help maintain the maximum amount of 95. So, in other words, something that might not even be good enough to beat “Just Friends” could be put in as a placeholder for something like “A Prayer Before Dawn” after all.

Alright, so I will breakdown why each of the 45 movies are too good to languish for an indefinite amount of time, along with which movies that they each could thrive with in an evaluation situation. Furthermore, since there are 45 movies to analyze in this entry, well they will be split into two separate charts, with the first chart having the movies that are ranked 1 through 23 and the second chart having the movies that are ranked 24 through 45. So, without any more ado, here are the two charts below:

Chart #1

MovieWhy it’s too good to languishIdeal evaluation situation
MenasheThe slice of life aspect has a nothing but The Flickuum vibe about it.It has the potential to be a Project stabilizer like “Bushwhacked”, thus it can be evaluated after a viewing of “Maximum Risk”.
Driving Miss DaisyThe friendship between Daisy and Hoke is just powerful to be denied a spot in The Project. It can be a part of an evaluation line-up that occurs before a viewing of “Money Train”.
AustraliaThe label of movies being better as they go on totally applies to this one. This movie helped its cause being assessed shortly before “Waves” was assessed, so both movies could have their evaluations occur around the same time.
Jamesy BoyBeing in the same category of “Australia”, the presence of Rosa Salazar and the presence of Ving Rhames all make it a tough out.Because it was re-assessed before the successful re-assessment of “The Flash”, well then the ideal spot would be directly before the 2023 movie.
BrothersBeing associated with “Jamesy Boy” helps it cause.Again, because of the “Jamesy Boy” connection, the ideal evaluation situation for this one is in a line-up with “The Flash”.
Thunderbolt & LightfootIt was assessed after “Wish”, re-assessed after “The King Of Kings” and re-assessed again after “Hoppers”.It’s better as a bridge to a movie of Top 100 quality, thus the ideal situation for the 1974 movie is having its evaluation occur before a viewing of “Husband For Hire”.
BasquiatIt’s almost impossible to deny the movie that put Jeffrey Wright on the map.It has the vibe of being a perfect evaluation before a viewing of either “The Rock” or “Lethal Weapon 4”.
I OriginsKashish’s scene-stealing performance of Salomina is one of the best all-time movie performances by a child actor or child actress.A viewing of “Empire” occurred after this movie’s most recent re-assessment, thus its evaluation is perfect before another viewing of the John Leguizamo-led movie.
Dr. MThe presence of Jennifer Beals. Enough said!It doesn’t really have strong ties to a particular movie. However, it was assessed before “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”, so that could make the most sense for the 1991 movie.
The Station AgentLike “Menashe”, it has the potential to be a Project stabilizer. And like “Driving Miss Daisy”, it has a nothing but The Flickuum vibe about. This movie has Paula Garces, and movies of hers have proven to be bridges to either “Money Train” or “Death Race”, thus that could become the case again for the 2003 Sundance release.
The Enemy BelowThis movie is neck-and-neck with “Das Boot”.The only movie that this one is really on any solid ground with is “S#!%house”, thus making the 2020 SXSW release the perfect running mate for the almost 70-year-old movie.
Das BootThis movie is neck-and-neck with “The Enemy Below”.This movie was assessed before the final major evaluation run of December 2022, thus the 1982 movie could be a part of its own such run. So, in other words, no overall guaranteed Flickuum movie really comes to mind for an ideal evaluation situation.
The Thing From Another WorldSee 11 spots above. It was assessed after the evaluation of “Sacudete Las Penas”, so it’s perfect with the Melissa Barrera movie, but as a bridge to the 1,546th enshrined Flickuum movie instead.
LambIt has the potential to be neck-and-neck with “The Northman”.It doesn’t really have an ideal running mate, but it could be perfect in a spot where it’s evaluated two weeks (at most), before a viewing of the Saved By The Bell episode “Dancing To The Max”.
Absolute PowerSee 13 spots above. This movie is better suited as a bridge to either a movie of Top 100 quality or a movie just outside the Top 100, thus “Baked In Brooklyn” could be its running mate in that type of situation.
PaybackPorter The Dog deserves to be a part of Flickuum lore. This movie is another one that should be utilized as a bridge, but there is no movie that it can be a bridge for, so it could find itself in a situation similar to “Das Boot”.
No Sudden MovieThe presence of Julia Fox and the recent success of “Out Of Sight” both really help this movie’s stock. It can work in a line-up that has another Julia Fox movie in “One Night Only”.
The Cat ReturnsStudio Ghibli’s reputation helps this movie immensely.Given that the evaluation of “Ponyo” came after the tandem of “Desperado” and “From Prada To Nada”, well then that same path could be perfect for the 2003 movie as well.
The Public EnemyThe grapefruit scene is totally deserving of Flickuum lore.It can work as a bridge to the 2006 version of “Miami Vice”.
Plan 9 From Outer SpaceSee 17 spots above.Given that this movie was the most recent one to be placed in Tier 13, there really isn’t enough to determine what movie that it can work well with in an evaluation situation.
The Raid: RedemptionIt has sequel upside. The pending status of the sequel doesn’t provide a definitive answer right now.
Cleopatra JonesThis movie and its sequel tie perfectly together. It can potentially be a part of an evaluation line-up that leads to “In The Heights”.
Cleopatra Jones And The Casino Of GoldThis movie and its predecessor tie perfectly together. This movie can be a bridge to the trio of “Straight Outta Compton”, “Into The Woods” and “Paddington”.

Chart #2

MovieWhy it’s too good to languishIdeal evaluation situation
The HomesmanLike four of the movies in Chart #1, this one gets better as it goes on.It could be one of many movies in an evaluation line-up with “Onslaught”.
Nice DreamsDespite some of the drug hallucinations being stupid, it just feels like this movie belongs with both “Up In Smoke” and “Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie”.It has ties to “Sweaty Betty”, “Medieval”, “Hamnet” and “It Follows”, thus it has the potential to be running mates with any of them.
Breaking UpThe presence of Salma Hayek is dynamite throughout.Given that “Here Comes The Boom” was assessed before a viewing of “Desperado”, it’s only fitting that this movie gets that same treatment.
MinariThe family dynamics are more realistic than originally thought, and the ending felt more complete after its third re-assessment.It was re-assessed a second time before the re-assessment of “Emily”, the third re-assessment of “Flower”, the second re-assessment of “This Is Not A Test” and the assessment of “Obsession”. So, given all of that versatility, it can be a bridge to any of those four.
The Forbidden KingdomA movie with Jet Li and Jackie Chan together needs to be in The Project. It’s not really on any solid ground with any movie, so it could be the lead-off evaluation for an increment of 100.
The TransporterThis movie is how I first heard of Jason Statham, thus a reason why “Death Race” is among the 1,601 enshrined Flickuum movies. It can be one of a few bridges to either the aforementioned “Death Race” or “Empire”.
Hard BoiledThe Corruptor was Chow Yun-Fat’s entry into The Flickuum rankings, but this movie put him on the map.The assessment of this movie came after the assessment of “Trap House”, so they could go back-to-back, except in reverse.
Frank And CindyThe scene-stealing performance by Marc Maron saves this movie.Given that this movie was assessed before “Wicked: Part One”, it could be a bridge to one of The Flickuum’s eventual top 10 2024 movies.
Poor BoyIt’s got that grimy southwest aesthetic that “Love Lies Bleeding” has.It has no positive history with any overall guaranteed Flickuum movie, so it might one of many bridges to a yet to be determined Flickuum movie.
A Prayer Before DawnThis is Panya Yimmumphai’s best chance at Flickuum lore. This movie seems like something that would get evaluated before “Money Train”, thus making the 1995 movie as an ideal running mate for the Joe Cole-led biopic.
Lawrence Of ArabiaThis movie has way too much acclaim to be in this type of limbo.Given that movies released in both the 1960s and 1970s seem to do well with “Blood And Wine”, well then The Flickuum’s top-ranked 1997 movie is the perfect running mate for this almost 65-year-old movie.
Nosferatu: A Symphony Of HorrorThis movie paved the way for the second enshrined 2024 movie. This movie had the benefit of being re-assessed two days before the assessment of “Forgotten Island”, so Liza Soberano’s presumptive second-best Flickuum movie is the perfect running mate for the 97-year-old silent movie.
The Truth About LiesOdette Annable completely saves this movie.Given that it has the potential to outrank “UHF”, well the 1989 movie is the perfect running mate for it.
Black BearIt has the potential to outrank “An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn”.Given that “An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn” was evaluated before “Two Times You”, well this Aubrey Plaza movie might double down on the 2019 Melissa Barrera movie as its running mate.
ConfirmationFrom a human rights standpoint, this movie is socially significant. This movie might be yet another bridge to “Desperado”.
Good Morning, VietnamThe rebellion of Adrian Cronauer screams nothing but The Flickuum.Another rebellious movie in “National Lampoon’s Animal House” was a bridge to an Oscar Isaac movie, and this movie could go that same route.
Black CaesarSee 16 spots above. This movie is in the same boat as “Poor Boy”.
MojaveThis movie does more than enough to overcome the accidental shooting of a police officer. It can work well in tandem with the pleasantly surprising “Scream VII”.
The Green KnightThis movie simply has way too many awesome visuals to be denied a spot in The Project. It had its re-assessment around the time that “Chasing Papi” did, so it could be a bridge to Nadine Velazquez’s second chronological movie.
Starsky & HutchDespite the meta scene towards the end, this movie could outrank “Semi-Pro”.The time that this movie somewhat thrived was when it was re-assessed before “Flow” was assessed, thus it could be a bridge to the winner for Best Animated Picture at the 2025 Oscars.
Bad HairThis movie might have the most to prove, but the presence of Chante Adams could help it immensely. This movie seems like it can be a bridge to either “Bad Boys”, “Bad Boy: Ride Or Die” or “Is God Is”.
Street Fighter ‘94The fact that the post-credits scene is optional completely changes the trajectory of this movie. This movie had some success around the time that “Wayne’s World 2” was assessed many years ago, thus it can be a bridge to the second Mike Myers-Dana Carvey collaboration.

Well, I had pretty much a three-day stretch of feeling burned out, yet I was still able to come up with this entry shortly after returning from seeing the 2026 version of “Street Fighter” theatrically. And those two charts above aren’t the only things to emerge out of that feeling, because in addition, I feel that the dog in “The Woman In The Yard” deserves to be a part of Flickuum lore, along with the dog in “Quiz Lady”. Furthermore, since “Drop” is neck-and-neck with the former of those two movies, well then the Megan Fahy-led movie will join it as a part of a Blumhouse re-assessment doubleheader, and with the expectation of both movies joining The Project in a package deal. And since I no longer feel irritated about certain aspects of “Challengers”, well that movie will also get another chance, thus all four movies have been exempted from Tier 12 and will  get last chance re-assessments. Yes, the last re-assessment rides for all four of them will add even more intrigue to this already stacked assessment/re-assessment selection process. Oh, and before I wrap up this paragraph, the 2021 version of “Nightmare Alley” will also get the same status as all those chart movies, due to it reminding me of the 2024 movie “Trap”, but there is no ideal evaluation situation for the Bradley Cooper-led movie.

Yes, the three-day stretch was a blessing in disguise, as my approach to my foreseeable assessment/re-assessment marathon feels re-energized now. And given that I no longer want to write constant Tier 13 updates that include(d) the picture-in-picture TierMaker format, I will instead do the following steps of 1] Creating an eventual audioblog page for this website, so that I can summarize Tier 13 at a much more favorable pace for myself, 2] Embedding a TierMaker screenshot (excluding the pictures of Tier 13 movies) within that page, and 3] Having names for each level within that screenshot, so that the listeners can use their imaginations, while listening to each audioblog recording. But that’s all a ways off, because I first need to find ways to counter the pending gutting of Tier 13, as currently constructed.

Tune in on Friday to my prediction for the 2026 World Series and please feel free to leave comments on any of the content within this entry.

Thank you as always and keep Art Infliction progressing!
