Given how time-consuming that yesterday’s work day was across the board, I decided to somewhat revise the schedule of the March leg of The Flickuum Project, because I can’t have multiple time-consuming assignments bumping up on each other day after day. And given what I’m capable of, in terms of getting from 1,447 to 1,481, from this afternoon through this coming March 28, I’ve decided to take most of next week off from evaluations to write entries like this one.
Let’s begin.
First up, this entry was/is about finding a minimum of three Flickuum/Land Of Infusion related items, thus I used yesterday to amass this material. And sure enough, that search led me to a movie that had staying power in my mind for 25 years. And as to what that movie was, well it was “Kiss Of The Dragon”, which has the vibe of an intriguing battle of wills type movie between Jet Li and the late Tcheky Karyo. Of course, I am somewhat skeptical about this movie, as it’s one of the first Jet Li movies that came out after “Romeo Must Die” and its comically bad water bottle fight scene. But hey, he also did amass two action movies (that I like) after that one in “Unleashed” and “War”, so there is hope for the 2001 movie.
Given how many times that I’ve encountered both Amanda Crew movies and Ashley Greene movies in my life/career, I’ve caught myself almost getting those two actresses mixed up with each other a time or two, so when I heard that the two of them would be in a movie together, I thought that was pretty cool. Of course, it took me two years to finally consider it as a roster addition, but better late than never, as those two in a movie together is a treat for this movie fan. Now let’s see if the 2023 Mammoth Film Festival release lives up to the hype.
And finally, just like volume 223, this entry provides “Moore” of the same, as the late Dudley Moore appeared in a sequel for “Arthur”, entitled “Arthur 2: On The Rocks”. Sure, that movie probably pales in comparison to its predecessor just like “Caddyshack 2” does to “Caddyshack”, although I haven’t seen that sequel. Regardless, I want to see what direction that Moore’s character heads in after I assess that first “Arthur” movie, therefore its sequel has been added to the roster.
Well, the final pre-final 95 overflow is now +26 and with no completed movement on the assessment/re-assessment roster since yesterday’s conversion of the page, formerly known as Over Capacity. And given The Flickuum goal that I have mapped out for the rest of this week, such stagnation will continue. But hey, that’s the fun in addressing the dual challenge of evaluations and assessments/re-assessments, so I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Until the next time.
