Ever since the most recent Flickasbord entry, I’ve had a success rate of 27% in sending movies to Tier 7 with 40F designations, which has also caused a then-updated open cap space number of 199. Yes, an updated open cap space number was to be expected, but not this soon. Regardless, such futility always decreases arduousness for other movies trying to make The Flickuum Project.
Let’s begin.
First up, I don’t think I’ve ever assessed a Peacock original movie, as A] That service doesn’t have enough free content and B] The monthly payment plans aren’t worth the trouble. However, movies released via that service have sprinkled onto other streaming services, such as Amazon, and one of those movies jumped out at me in late-2023. And as to what that movie was, well it was “Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure Of Foggy Mountain”, which looks like one of those great outdoors type movies that is perfect for a late-night or wee hours evaluation. And given the scarcity of great outdoors type movies in The Project, this movie could fill a void that “Kidz N The Wood” cleared failed at filling.
For a little over two decades, Latina actresses have been storming The Project to the point that I was initially going to build it around Delilah Cotto, only for her to ultimately be superseded by the tandem of Nadine Velazquez and Melissa Barrera. And of course, many made their way into The Project after the former and many made their way into The Project both before and after the other two, such as Alexa PenaVega, Chrissy Fit, Humberly Gonzalez and Aimee Carrero. And now you can add Ursula Corbero to that group, as she caught my attention via the trailer for “Lift”, thus that movie and “The Tree Of Blood” are both now on the roster to give her at least a 50-50 chance of being a part of Flickuum lore.
After deleting the Plex app from my AppleTV in late-November 2024, I became resigned to the possibility of never watching something via that app again. But after coming to the decision of chancing the assessment of “Control” via that app instead of ordering the physical copy of it, I re-downloaded the app two days ago and was able to watch that movie without a problem at all. Yes, I have faith in that app again to the point that I filled my queue yesterday morning, while surfing it. And while surfing it gave me eventual accessibility to movies that are currently on the roster, I found four more roster additions, which are 1] Mud, a movie that jumped out at me yet I kept overlooking it, 2] Made because I want a Diddy movie for my eventual 3,991 through 4,000 ranking range, 3] Runt because it’s Cameron Boyce’s final movie and 4] Infestation because it gives Brooke Nevin an extra chance at being a part of Flickuum lore. Now let’s see if all four additions (especially the third one via an upsetting scene about a dog) are Project worthy or not.
Just when I think that every undocumented movie in my movie-watching history is documented, two more movies that I forgot about come back into my memory bank, as I now remember that I rented both “Monster’s Ball” and “I’m Not Rappaport” at various points in 2005 yet never got around to watching/assessing either of them. And had it not been for me surfing Plex yesterday morning, then I would have still forgotten about both past yet unwatched rentals, thus they have been added to the roster. Another thank you to Plex.
And finally, one twelfth of the movies in Tier 13 are now protected from Flickuum elimination, as both “Into The Wild” and “Persuasion” have nothing but Flickuum written all over them, while Melissa Barrera alone makes “L For Leisure” impossible to deny entry into The Project and “Magic City Memoirs” makes sense to me nearly a week after my re-assessment of it. And of course, those four movies are just half of that protected twelfth, as “Killer High”, “Over Her Dead Body”, “See How They Run” and “Extraction” were all granted that same protection last month. So, because of all that, it’s now a battle for 88 of the last 101 “pre-Dream Scenario” spots in that tier. Stay tuned.
Well, “Megalopolis” ended up being an overhyped glitter-laden turd with an 85% Project probability rate (67 movies, 29 open spots) in Tier 12, while “The Chamber” holds the top non-protected spot in Tier 13 and needs to avoid 88 losses from now through the first half of 2027. Yes, it sucks that there is so much futility between “Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Monkey”, so much futility between “The Monkey” and “Sneaks”, and nothing but futility after “Sneaks” yet a lot of Flickuum firepower will be coming as soon as the postings for today’s Nog Report are complete.
Until the next time.
