Flickasbord, Volume 62

I know that I said yesterday that the pardon of “G-Force” would be the last ever one from the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page. But after coming to the realization that “Hunt For The Wilderpeople” deserves a re-assessment at least, I’ve decided to pardon that Taika Waititi movie from that page because it could be neck-and-neck with another of his movies in “Next Goal Wins”. And since something has to go in the place of the 2016 Taika Waititi movie, I’ve decided to send “That Awkward Moment” back to that page.

It’s rare that a lewd movie gets Flickuum consideration, as a movie such as “Showgirls” proved itself to be a dumpster fire. But regardless, I’m open to giving other such movies Flickuum consideration. So, with that being said, I’ve decided to give the 1990 movie “Henry & June” an assessment sometime after this coming Memorial Day, due in large part to how much of a smoke show that Uma Thurman is in that movie. And hopefully, it will be way better than the aforementioned “Showgirls”.

The term “Perfect 10” doesn’t apply to the Movies That Mega Tat Refuses To See page, as a tenth movie has been enshrined on that page, with that movie being “Tiger House”. And as to why that movie has been enshrined on that page, well I can only give so much leeway to movies where the dog dies and that upsetting thing happens in that movie, thus I cannot bring myself to give leeway to that movie. If only they made John Wick a time-traveling avenger of dogs for many, many movies.

And finally, my decision to find a Dabney Coleman movie for The Project planted another seed in my mind, with that seed being that I need to find a Sidney Poitier movie for it as well, because he was/posthumously is way too iconic to not have a Flickuum movie. And of course, with the word “iconic” being said, I found the perfect movie to assess when it comes to the latter via his iconic role of Det. Virgil Tibbs in the movie “In The Heat Of The Night”. And given how iconic that that movie still is even to this day, I’m going to call a movie that has Mr. Tibbs in it a surefire success.

Well, I did snap my streak of six consectuvie shitty assessments/re-assessments, yet I still have a major dent to put into what’s currently up for assessment/re-assessment. But given the goal that I wrote down on my marker board earlier today, I’m going to get after all my accessible assessments/re-assessments with strong determination, so that I can get to “Air Force One” next Monday afternoon.

Until the next time.
