The Final Purge Of Movies Battling For Foreseeable Catch-22 Hundred Spots

When it comes to movies vying for the Catch-22 Hundred Project, my interests in certain movies become erratic, as I cited that about the movie “La Bamba” in part 2 of Dial “R” For Recon. So, with that being said, I thought that I was done purging movies from the foreseeable Catch-22 Hundred selection process.

But after coming to the realization that I have passed over both Benji and The Secret Of NIMH in every Walrus 23 spot-fill tournament up to this point, I began to question if I wanted to reserve them for final 78 spots or stand pat with them as spot-fill tournament options. And of course, with all of that being said, I figured out somewhat quickly that both movies should be optioned as final 78 movies, due to A] The former being a little too repetitious during its early stages, B] The former having multiple sequels, which could help or hurt its merits and C] The latter having a sequel that The Nostalgia Critic ripped, thus potentially hurting those merits as well.

So, there you have it. A four-day span of me predicting that an upcoming 2023 movie (The Creator) could fail its assessment, reading that another upcoming 2023 movie (Trolls Band Together) possibly having its USA wide release date delayed and deciding to option four movies (The Wolf And The Lion, La Bamba, Benji, The Secret Of NIMH) as final 78 movies. And given all of that, the foreseeable Catch-22 Hundred selection process could/will be a little easier between now and January 1, 2024.

Stay tuned.
