During the last third of last month, seven more of the 47 movies that are vying for overall guaranteed Two ThouCentennial spots 2,001 through 2,047 have been completed and the results for those seven are once again a mixed bag. Let’s delve into that bag to see what their futures are in The Two ThouCentennial Project via the chart below:
Movie | Its future in The Two ThouCentennial Project |
The Tiger Rising | Other than the tiger, the movie is bland and has a stupid graphic that ruins the presence of the tiger. So with all of that being said, it will eventually be going to the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page. |
Strange World | This computer-animated Disney movie is the latest non-Pixar movie to succeed in its assessment. It’s just a matter of hard copy confirmation. |
The Wolf And The Lion | Just like Benji, this movie was done in by its slow start. But just like Benji, it could have its stock rise in the future. Stay tuned. |
Gigi & Nate | It’s currently seventh in the seven movies that are vying for spots 2,011 through 2,017, and a win against Shazam! Fury Of The Gods will put it in the 2,011 through 2,017 group. |
Flora & Ulysses | The squirrel and the part where all the animals are freed from that test lab are the only two good things about this movie. And while the rest of this movie failed to live up to those two aspects, it could eventually benefit from the “grow on” effect. Stay tuned. |
Marcel The Shell With Shoes On | Of the six (soon to be seven) movies that had the right to compete for spots 2,011 through 2,017, it’s only better than The Tiger Rising and is 14th (most likely 15th on March 18, 2023) out of 15 (soon to be 16) in the standings for spots 2,011 through 2,017. But it did a little better than expected in its assessment, so there is still hope. |
The Menu | This movie is Hard Target, Ready Or Not, Wanted, The Hunt and The Northman rolled up into one, and has the potential to outrank four of those five. However, it was deemed to be not better than both the aforementioned Gigi & Nate and Sweaty Betty in the standings, so it will have to wait a little while to get a guaranteed spot in The Project. |
So as you all see via the chart above, only one of those movies truly passed the assessment phase, while another one needs a miracle against Shazam! Fury Of The Gods in order to make it. And given the timing parameters involved, it’s unknown how soon total success will come for those seven movies. And of course, with that being said, the question is what steps were taken to compensate for the struggles of the other six of those seven via that chart?
Well given that 29 movies were held in reserve in the event of the now confirmed struggles, the answer is that The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild, Live Free Or Die Hard, Prey, The New Mutants, The Witches ‘20 and Night Owls were all awarded the presumptive spots of 2,011 through 2,016 of The Project, due to all six of them having very high post-assessment stocks. So given all of that, the struggles of six of the chart movies not named Strange World have proven to be a silver lining.
Tune in on January 2 to find out about the Project future of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish.
