My Intro To Art: Samantha Kovalcik

Steve: How old were you when you had your first artistic experience?

Samantha: I honestly don’t remember the exact age. But probably during ages 8-10 were around the time of my first artistic experience.

Steve: What made you want to dedicate your working life to art?

Samantha: Because I like making pretty things and bringing pretty things into the world.

Steve: What style or styles of art are you known for?

Samantha: I am mostly known for doing stippling/pointillism.

Steve: Where can people find your work?

Samantha: They can find my work on Instagram because that’s where I post the most. I also post on PaigeeWorld but not very often and I also post on a game called LINE PLAY.

Steve: Anymore artistic goals?

Samantha: My goals right now are to draw faster and put out more art than I am right now, and to be able to make a living from my art.

Steve: How do you hope to inspire others?

Samantha: I hope that my work inspires them to draw more and get better. But also, I just hope to inspire artists when I talk to them and encourage them. I talk to lots of artists and I always tell them that they should never stop drawing if it’s what they love, and even if they think that they aren’t at a skill level right now that they will get better with time and practice.
