Good things have come in threes so far with the then-16 upcoming 2023 movies, as three of them made their USA wide release dates on time. And of course, with that being said, potentially unlucky 13 became a tentative 12, as The Equalizer 3 became the fourth of those movies to not bend the knee to The Frandemic. And given how I’ve been waiting to see this movie since the blog entry “Determining 23 In ’23 (And In ’24)” was published, I’m totally thrilled that this Denzel Washington threequel did not bend the knee, especially since the first two Equalizer movies both kick ass.
Alright, I’ll most likely be on a much-needed bye week next week, as nothing that I want to see will come out on September 8. But the operative words here are “most likely” because any of those tentative 12 could get the same treatment that Challengers, White Bird, Kraven The Hunter and Drive-Away Dolls have all gotten. So, with that being said, the movies “Jules”, “From Black”, “Past Lives” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” could all be on standby if such a situation arises again. And of course, those latter four movies are possibly a blog entry for another day.
Please don’t bend the knee, A Haunting In Venice!
