Flicks In The Woods, Part 1

Keeping up with selection protocols for the Catch-22 Hundred Project has been exhausting lately, as The Frandemic has posed a serious challenge to the phase of assessing new movies theatrically. And of course, with that being said, I’ve had to sub Challengers, White Bird, Kraven The Hunter and Drive-Away Dolls out of my foreseeable group of movies to assess theatrically, due (in part) to the weak presidency of SAG-AFTRA. And not only did I have to do that because in addition, I’ve had to check online every day (well, since the announced delay of the aforementioned Challengers) to see if any more movies (16) in that foreseeable group would get their United States wide release dates delayed or not. And as to how that’s gone ever since Frandemic predictions began exactly two weeks ago, well A] I was able to see both see Blue Beetle and Strays theatrically, and B] I’ll be able to see Gran Turismo via that same format two days from now. In fact, I will book my Gran Turismo ticket after I’m done writing this entry.

Of course, I’ll have to get confirmation(s) about the other 13 movies that are in my foreseeable theatrical assessment group on the days of their respective United States wide release dates, as who knows if the makers of any of those movies will kowtow to the SAG-AFTRA Strike. And maybe I’ll get delay confirmation(s) before the dates of 09/01, 09/15, 09/29, 10/06, 10/27, 11/10, 11/17, 11/22, 12/08, 12/15 and 12/22, thus more substitution entries could be going on the Exclusively External page. But if that won’t be the case, then I’ll have to write 11 (not 13) more entries like this one, as 11/17 has both The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes and Trolls Band Together coming out, followed by 11/22 having both Napoleon and Wish come out. I’m hoping for the 11 instead of writing more substitution entries, so please don’t bend the knee, Equalizer 3!
