It was bound to happen that Volume 28 was coming, but I didn’t think that it would come this fast. Yet here it is, as I got some more things on my mind about The Flickuum Project, so let’s begin.
First up, Tier 11 gained a 10th movie, as “Out Of Africa” lived up to my expectations, thus one less movie straggling on the current assessment/re-assessment roster. But I’m going to have turn up the heat between now and Sunday night, as the resumption of evaluations could move up by a day.
Some of the now 22 movies pending assessment/re-assessment could be odd movies out, as A] “Upgraded”, “Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle”, “The Voyeurs” and very likely “Home ’21” will take four of the 22 open spots for the 2,101 through 2,201 selection protocol, B] “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire” is expected to pass its assessment later today, C] The stock of “La Bamba” has risen, D] “Filly Brown” is starting to benefit from the “grow on” effect and E] “Drive-Away Dolls” is getting new life for The Flickuum Project, due to me liking the character of Annie Gonzalez. And of course, with points B through E being said, four more movies could also be facing the “odd movies out” scenario.
And finally, there’s one last for real purge from the 2,100 overall guaranteed Flickuum movies, as I found “Nick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist” to be a cobbled together mess that’s worse than another Michael Cera movie in “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World”. So, because of that, the fully guaranteed Flickuum spot for the former of the two movies has been both revoked and subsequently awarded to the recently pardoned “Takers”, thus the 2010 movie has been expedited to Tier 3.
Alright, so including my theatrical trip of “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire” and the eight movies that will be scouted for the One Hun-Dread page, I have 31 total movies to knock out before Sunday night, as that night is my target date for the resumption of Flickuum evaluations. And given that I’ll need to haul ass around the clock, in order to meet that target date, I’ll need to turn the clock back to all those surges that I put forth in December 2023 and this most recent February. So, with the second sentence being said, I’m not blogging for the rest of this week.
Blog to you all again next Monday, in all likelihood.
