Fight For The Final 25

As of July 3, 2020, 974 of the Two Thous-Ton spots have been filled via that page, along with both the Evaluation Pool Rankings Board on The Ones That Remain page and the Set To Join page. And of course, various methods will be used in filling 1,001 of the remaining 1,026 open spots for the Two Thous-Ton Project.

Now you might be wondering “Why 1,001 of the 1,026 open spots will be accounted for, as opposed to all 1,026 open spots?” Well, I’ve decided to select the last 25 movies for the project the way that a Major League Baseball expansion team determines which 25 players will make the opening day roster, as the movies listed on this page are on the bubble of making the Project.

To see which movies are on the bubble of making the aforementioned Two Thous-Ton Project, simply view the numbered list below:

  1. Transformers: The Last Knight. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: The movie gave an incomplete feel to the Transformers franchise, assuming this movie is the last of that franchise. However, a sixth post-Bumblebee Transformers movie could help get this into the Project.
  2. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chance of making the Project depend on if the overall book series that it’s in goes the same route as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts.
  3. The Girl In The Spider’s Web. Its forecast making the Two Thous-Ton Project: See one spot above.
  4. 300: Rise Of An Empire. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project depend on a third installment in the 300 franchise.
  5. Gone Girl. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It’s either sequel or bust!
  6. Magic City Memoirs. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It’s either hard copy (DVD, Blu-ray disc) or bust!
  7. Staten Island Summer. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: See one spot above.
  8. The Man In The Iron Mask. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It depends on the thorough investigation of whether it’s based on real events and how satisfactory of a film adaptation it is for The Three Musketeers.
  9. Bumblebee. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: A sequel to the Transformers prequel will do it justice, and will be an excellent bridge between both this movie and the first Transformers movie of the Shia LaBeouf era.
  10. Ender’s Game. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It did better in its re-assessment, but it still leaves some room open for a yet-to-be released sequel.
  11. Den Of Thieves. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project hinge on how well its likely sequel does.
  12. A-X-L. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project hinge on whether a sequel is made or not, as well as how well that it does.
  13. The Mighty Ducks. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project hinge on how well both of its sequels do.
  14. The Odd Couple II. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project hinge on how well its predecessor does.
  15. Starship Troopers. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: A main character gets killed off a little too early in the movie, thus it going downhill from there. However, it’s entertaining enough to get consideration for the Project, thus it being among this camp of movies. However, its future of joining the Project again is mostly tied to how well that all of its sequels do in their respective assessments.
  16. Maleficent. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Research has to be conducted for this movie, along with how well its sequel does, as those reasons are the two that will determine its fate for the Project.
  17. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: The open-ended post credits scene suggests a sequel that still has yet to be made. So until that time comes, this movie will be in this camp.
  18. Doctor Strange. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: A sequel will do this movie justice, as a post credits scene suggests a sequel. And if a sequel does come out, then this movie’s chances of making the Project greatly increase.
  19. The NeverEnding Story. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project are predicated on how well its sequels do.
  20. Keeping Up With The Joneses. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It gave the appearance for having a sequel. And should it get a sequel, then its chances of making the Project will increase.
  21. The Tuskegee Airmen. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: This movie, along with Red Tails, could both be heading to the Movie-Ocrity/Dishonorable Mention page as the second tandem of movies with two somewhat different takes on the same story. The first tandem? Jobs and Steve Jobs. The Laurence Fishburne-led movie has quite the uphill battle.
  22. Lily & Kat. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It’s either Region 1 hard copy (DVD, Blu-ray disc), Play All hard copy (DVD, Blu-ray disc) or bust!
  23. The Wolf Man. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: Its chances of making the Project hinge on how well its four sequels do.
  24. Clerks. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: It’s in this camp until its re-assessment is complete.
  25. Clerks II. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: See one spot above.
  26. Beneath The Darkness. Its forecast for making the Two Thous-Ton Project: See two spots above.
